A genuine antique human skull, 18/19th century, with wired jaw set on a mahogany and brass stand. Due to the size of the skull it is most likely a young female. The remnants of an old label can be found on the back and faded characters can be seen to the top of the skull.
This item would make a good desk or sideboard ornament in a library or study as a 'momento mori'.

Condition
Minor fracture to the jaw as can be seen in photos and a few missing teeth. Generally in good condition though considering the age.
