A 19th century green Serpentine marble column or torchere. The octagonal base steps up to the slightly tapering column, which reaches upwards to the top section or top that sits on the column by way of a metal rod. The whole piece has beautiful green patina there are white veins running through the Serpentine.

Over all in good condition, some minor chips to the base as to be expected with age. Old carved reference marks in centre of the top.
