Here at Hall Fine Art we also stock a wide variety of internal furnishings, take these bells for example. They would have originated from a very grand English Victorian country residence, everything is original including the paint work! There are fourteen graduating bells set on a cream painted pine board with a pulley attached to each one. Each bell therefore gives off its own individual sounding ring when pulled on. The servants would have known by sound alone which room they were required in and answered their masters call.
